Robert Eugene “Gene” Nealey, 76, of Haleyville passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2020 in Winfield, Alabama.
Gene was born Jan. 23, 1944 in Miami, Florida.
He was known as “Pop” to everyone.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 27, 2020 from noon-2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will begin at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Thornhill Cemetery in Haleyville.
Gene is survived by his wife of 40 years, Wilma Bell; children Willene Kois-Crowe, Wanda Mullins, Sonny and Shay Kois, Terry and Kim Kois, Rick Kois, Galia and Terry Iott, Allen Kois, and Sherrie Kois; grandchildren Ronnie Flanagan, Angela Flanagan, Frankie Kois, Abagail Kois, Dewayne Kois, Heather Kois, Alexis Kois, Brandy Chrysler, Lauren Kois, Rachel Kois, and Starla Kois; great-grandchildren, Kenzlee Kois, Kacyn Campbell, Kennedi Vickery, Kash Vickery, Aubrie Sartin, Indee Kois, Slade Kois, Jonathan Chrysler, and Peyton Flanagan; four sisters; one brother; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and one son.
