Man arrested after eluding authorities Wednesday

CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) and the Cullman Police Department (CPD) on Wednesday arrested James Kent Lambert and transferred him to the custody of the Winston County Sheriff’s Office.

Lambert eluded CCSO deputies and CPD officers for more than an hour after allegedly committing multiple thefts near U.S. Highway 278 W and Fromhold Road.

Lambert has felony warrants in Winston County.

“I would like to thank all our deputies and the CPD officers who assisted in making this arrest,” said Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry.
