Georgia Phillips Brown peacefully left this world on February 29, 2016. She was born on May 22, 1924 in Dora, Alabama to the late George “Ted” Phillips and Testie Elliot Phillips.
Georgia is now with her beloved husband, J.B. “Josh” Brown.
She was a special, one of a kind person to all who met her and loved her.
She is survived by her son, Mickey Brown and wife Cecelia; granddaughter Michelle Watwood and husband Jonathan; grandson Josh Brown and wife Sara; and great-grandchildren, Christopher, Katie and Jackson Golden, Cloie Watwood and Ava Brown; sisters, Betty Smith, Juanita Black; a niece, Sheila Brock and a nephew, Phil Mitchell.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her siblings Charles Phillips, Tava Lakey, Ruby Mitchell and Jewell Knight; and a great-grandson Jacob Watwood.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Comfort Care Hospice and VFW Flag Fund in memory of Georgia Brown
A memorial service will be at a later date.
