CULLMAN, Ala. – The first-degree rape trial of Wade Allen Waldrop ended in a hung jury late Wednesday afternoon, meaning that the jury could not reach a unanimous verdict. According to a source at the Cullman County Courthouse, the case will return to the trial docket and the District Attorney’s Office will have the option of retrying the case in the future.
Waldrop has also been indicted on other charges including a separate rape charge involving a child under the age of 12 and two sex abuse charges involving children under the age of 12.
