CULLMAN – On Friday and Saturday, March 25-26 and Saturday, April 2, 4D Family Farm will open to the public for its Spring Celebration for the fourth year in a row.

The celebration, which will be from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. all three days, will include a 250-foot zip-line, a two-story play barn, an 80-foot slide and a huge jumping pillow. The Easter Bunny will be at the farm and there will be egg hunts on March 25-26.

The cost of admission is $8 per person, including tax.

“It is very much so a bargain considering all the activities we have,” Owner Beth Daniel said.

The farm is only open twice a year to the public: during the month of October for fall activities, and a few select days each spring.

“We were open much more last year during the spring, but we found that business was very slow with no particular events or anything going on,” Daniel said.

The egg hunt, a staple of the Easter season, will be run differently this year than in years past.

“We would fill the plastic eggs with candy in the past,” Daniel said, “but some kids would end up with 20 eggs and some would only have three or four. So we decided that we want all the kids to find about 11 eggs, and then everyone gets a treat bag at the end.”

Kids 12 and under will be allowed to participate in the egg hunt, but Daniel said that really, it is for kids 10 and under.

The egg hunt will be held on both March 25 and 26.

Easter Bunny visits and egg hunts will only be taking place the weekend of Easter (March 25-26), but all other spring farm favorites will be available on April 2.

When asked how many people she expected to attend this year’s Spring Celebration, Daniel said she really does not like to count heads and keep numbers.

“Each person who comes is a blessing and we’re glad to have them,” she said.

The 4D Family Farm is located at 7182 County Road 703 in Cullman.
