Cullman City Schools reports 395 have quarantined; 11 students, 4 teachers tested positive for COVID-19

CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman City Schools, according to numbers provided to The Tribune Saturday, has a total of 395 students who have quarantined system-wide due to a positive COVID-19 test or a possible exposure. That’s 12.09% of the total number of students enrolled in the system, which is 3,265.

All numbers are accurate as of Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020:

Total number of students enrolled in the city school system: 3,265

Total number who have tested positive for COVID-19: 11

Total number who have been quarantined (or asked to quarantine) due to COVID-19: 395

Total number of teachers for the system: 314

Total number of teachers who have tested positive: 4

Total number of teachers who have been quarantined for possible exposure to a COVID-19 case: 26

The numbers were not broken down by campus.

Cullman High School switched to a hybrid class model beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8, through Friday, Oct. 2 due to the number of individuals in quarantine because of COVID-19.
