PREP CROSS COUNTRY: Holly Pond’s Chambers, Cold Springs’ Edgeworth win at Pepsi XC Challenge

MOULTON, Ala. – Several local cross-country squads made the trip to Moulton Saturday morning to compete in this year’s Pepsi XC Challenge and a pair of individual runners went home with top prizes. Holly Pond’s Camilla Chambers collected her second win of the season after finishing first in the girls’ small school run by more than a minute with a time of 19:40.04 and in the boys’ small school race, Cold Springs’ Ethan Edgeworth outpaced the second place finisher by just under a minute to take the win. Cold Springs’ Reagan Parris posted a 21:15.40 to place third in the girls’ small school race. Both the Cold Springs Eagles and Lady Eagles finished second as teams in their respective races.
