Dalton Matthew “Matt” Bannister, 36, of Holly Pond passed away Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020. He was born Nov. 16, 1983 to Barry William Bannister and Anita Martin Bannister.
Matt is survived by his father Barry Bannister and wife Wendy; his mother Anita Bannister; son Raylon Dillon Bannister; daughter, Mahala Brook Fillmore and Emma Bryleigh Bannister; sister Amanda Bannister Clay and husband Jason; stepbrother Brandon Mitchell and wife Whitney; stepsister Lindsey Bellew and husband Jeff; niece Emory Clay; grandmother Helen Nash; special grandmother Peggy Johnston; and a host of friends and relatives.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2020 in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 p.m. until services begin.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Matt Bannister to the Treatment Advocacy Center at www.treatmentadvocacycenter.org. Those who knew Matt knew his love of animals, especially bulldogs, and with that in mind, donations may also be made in Matt’s memory to an animal rescue of your choice.
