CULLMAN, Ala. – This year’s Caring for Cullman Concert, which was slated for the fall, has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Good Samaritan Health Clinic Executive Director Jolanda Hutson shared the following message with The Tribune:
“It is with disappointment that I share with you this update…..
“Good Samaritan Health Clinic’s board of directors has made the decision to cancel the 6th annual Caring for Cullman Concert for 2020. As a health care provider, we want to do our part and encourage others to do their part to limit disease exposure and spread within our community and throughout the state….as we have many attendees who come from outside or our immediate community.
“The recent spike in COVID cases in our community and in the state of Alabama, as well as Governor Ivy’s extension of the Safer at Home Order, prompted us to revisit our previous decision, which was to hold as usual but limit attendees to 500 with social distancing protocol in place. I’m disappointed that we’ve had to cancel, but we all feel it is in everyone’s best interest and the right thing to do.”
