CULLMAN, Ala. – At its June meeting, the Cullman County Community Development Commission (CCCDC) awarded a total of $217,500 in grants. CCCDC Chairman Champ Crocker and Board Members Josh Speakman and Cherrie Haney presented checks (in a humorously “socially-distanced” way) to the grant recipients Friday morning.
Crocker shared, “$217,500 is being distributed today back into this community from the TVA and the beer tax monies. We’re giving away so much today because we had a meeting in April that was canceled due to COVID-19. COVID-19 may have delayed us, but it’s not going to stop us.”
