Funeral Services for Michael Richard Scavarda, age 60, of Cullman will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Monday, February 15, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Scavarda passed away Saturday, February 13 at his residence. He was born on August 21, 1955 in Waukegan, Illinois, to parents Massie Mo G. and Josephine Russell Scavarda. He was a truck driver with the food service industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three half-brothers, James, Jo Dean, and Sonny Slis.
Survivors include his wife, Dianne Scavarda; daughters, Catherine (Daniel) Spicer, Linda Scavarda, and Elizabeth (Brian) Scavarda; grandsons, Nathaniel Spicer and Noah Spicer; half-sister, Mary Bosner; his granddoggers, Sophie, Sadie, Critter, & Cleo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
