CULLMAN, Ala. – Athletes from Cullman’s special needs Miracle League, along with their families, welcomed the Saints Motorcycle Club, cheered them on and thanked the riders as they swung by the Field of Miracles Saturday morning on the first leg of their annual Miracle League Ride. According to ride coordinators, approximately 150 riders took part. After the group departed to continue their ride, a few riders even came back by for a little more personal time.

The Saints, in partnership with Friends of the Miracle League, have raised more than $20,000 in the last few years to support the Miracle League.

Kelly Pulliam of Cullman Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism’s Therapeutic Recreation program told The Tribune previously, “Friends of the Miracle League raising the funds has allowed all Miracle League players to play for free during the spring season and sometimes the fall, too. Many families are now able to sign up since the registration fees are already paid for by the group. We have definitely seen an increase in number of players over the years, and I believe it’s because of the efforts of the friends of the Miracle League.”

Miracle League baseball starts Monday, June 15, with games Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 p.m. This year’s registration fees were paid by Friends of the Miracle League, Saints MC and Wal-Mart Distribution.
