CULLMAN, Ala. – This year has been an unusual one for spring sports and so far, awards season is no different. Since there were so few games played before the coronavirus pandemic closed schools across the state, the Alabama Sports Writers Association opted not to vote on All-State teams this year. However, AL.com has compiled a list of 20 of the top players in each classification for baseball and softball. The nominations were voted on by coaches around the state and the AL.com staff.
Among the selections were several local standouts including Cullman’s Nick Braswell, Hanceville’s Zach Campbell, West Point’s Aubry Cleghorn and West Point’s Molly Pendley.
