Obie Cleveland Thompson, 91, of Sardis entered into rest Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at his home.
Mr. Thompson was born Jan. 17, 1929 in Cullman County, Alabama.
He loved to fish and was an avid Alabama football fan.
As per State and Federal guidelines, a private service will be held. Burial will be in Sardis #2 Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother William McClellan will officiate.
He is survived by his daughters Deborah Griffin and her husband Johnny, Denelda Joy Stephens, and Sharlene Netherton and her husband Micah; seven grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Willie Aaron and Hattie Estelle Eddy Thompson; granddaughter Leslie York; brothers Lloyd Thompson and Daniel Thompson; and sister Eunie Smith.
