Douglas Gene Schwan, Sr., 72, of Vinemont, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at his residence. He was born Aug. 10, 1947 to Carlton Schwan and Mary Ruth Pope.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ronnie Pope.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years Sandra Schwan; sons Mike Barker and Doug (Sherry) Schwan; daughter Channah (Waylon) Daniel; grandchildren Kassy (Zach) Johnson, Alan (Elise) Bright, Daniel Tucker, Brittney (Scottie) Currington, and Kanasta Daniel; 10 great-grandchildren; brother Tommy (Cathy) Pope; and a host of family and friends.
