HOMEWOOD, Ala. – On Tuesday, Milo’s Hamburgers informed The Tribune that it has recently launched the “Alabama Strong” campaign to support the communities where its restaurants are located across Central and North Alabama.
In a statement, Milo’s public relations specialist wrote, “Alabama residents have supported Milo’s for nearly 75 years – and now Milo’s wants to be there for fellow Alabamians.”
The notice continued:
To support the Cullman community, Milo’s Alabama Strong campaign will offer the following:
- From now through May 15, Cullman kids can enjoy a free breakfast, lunch or dinner at Milo’s with the purchase of any adult combo meal (also available in Montgomery, Jasper, Tuscaloosa, Jasper, and Decatur locations). [Patrons will need to show a paper or online coupon- you can download the coupon shown with this article- to show when they get their meals. According to the local Milo’s, one coupon will be good through the end of the promotion in May.]
- To ensure our children stay happy and healthy, Milo’s will provide 150 meals per week to local kids in need across its 16-store footprint in Alabama. [This is in addition to the free meals mentioned above. The Tribune contacted Milo’s and was informed that the chain will distribute these meals in Cullman through The Link.]
- For a limited time only starting in early April, Milo’s will give their customers the opportunity to purchase their coveted signature sauce and $2 for every bottle sold will be donated to feed a hungry child in need.
Milo’s CEO Tom Dekle wrote, “Milo’s has always been focused on being a strong partner and trusted advocate in every Alabama community we serve. With many parents juggling family and work priorities at home, the last thing they should have to worry about is finding time to feed their family during this difficult period. While times are challenging for us as well, it is our duty and honor to give back and take care of our local customers, team members and community partners as we overcome these challenges together.”
Their public relations specialist shared, “Milo’s returned to Cullman in 2017 at its Patriot Drive location and has since frequently partnered with a variety of local schools, churches and nonprofit organizations through community outreach initiatives including Student of the Month, Points for Purpose, Milo’s Art, Milo’s Math, and community give-back nights. Headquartered in Birmingham, Milo’s currently operates 16 total locations in Birmingham, Prattville, Montgomery, Tuscaloosa, Jasper, Cullman and Decatur.”
