MONTGOMERY, Ala. — North-South all-star squads for the upcoming AHSAA North-South All-Star Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball Games have been selected and Lady Eagles Point Guard Toni West earned a spot on the Girls North roster. The junior landed on this year’s North team after helping lead the Lady Eagles to back to back Northwest Regional titles and a runner-up finish in class 2A this season. West was also awarded Third-Team All-State honors last weekend.

West is the latest local standout to earn an invite to this year’s North-South All-Star Sports Week. Addison’s Callie Crider will be competing with the North Volleyball All-Stars and Cullman’s Bernarda Tizapa and Walker Huddleston will join Holly Pond’s Camilla Chambers at this year’s All-Star Cross Country race.

The two 15-memeber teams comprised of 2021 rising seniors were announced by Jamie Lee, Director of the Alabama High School Athletic Directors & Coaches Association (AHSADCA) Wednesday. The AHSADCA, which operates under the auspices of the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) will also host all-star games in football, baseball, softball, volleyball, boys’ and girls’ soccer, boys’ and girls’ cross country, tennis and golf during the All-Star Week. Those teams will be announced at a later date. The North-South All-Star Basketball Games will be played Tuesday, July 14 in Montgomery. The site has not been determined. Both contests will be live streamed by the NFHS Network.
