CULLMAN, Ala. – Good Samaritan Health Clinic Executive Director Jolanda Hutson and Clinic Administrator Cindy Barnett on Monday afternoon issued this statement:

The Good Samaritan Health Clinic of Cullman is closely monitoring updates from local and national public health authorities concerning the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). We are also actively engaging with our state partners and local community in order to share information and to coordinate efforts wherever possible, should the need arise.

Practical information on how to best protect yourself is available from the CDC at www.cdc.gov/coronavirus. Additionally, if you have symptoms (trouble breathing, cough/sore throat, fever) please call the Cullman Regional COVID-19 Information Line at 256-735-5530 to avoid an unnecessary trip to the hospital.

At this time, Good Samaritan Health Clinic has not received any information that suggests our patients, staff or volunteers are at an increased risk for contracting COVID-19. Our Medical Director and Board of Directors believe our services are essential during this time of uncertainty and have made the decision to continue to offer the clinic’s valuable services to the uninsured residents of Cullman County. Realizing that some of our patients may be vulnerable to the virus, we are implementing additional precautions to provide the best possible care to our patients while ensuring their safety and that of the staff and volunteers.

Please continue to monitor the Good Samaritan Health Clinic website (goodsamaritancullman.com) and our Facebook page (GoodSamaritanCullman) for updates. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the clinic at 256-775-1389.
