CULLMAN, Ala. – Beverly Burke, who has in the last few years raised more than $3,500 for the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) Special Needs Rodeo, is stepping up again to help Deputy Adam Clark, who is facing an extended recovery period after being critically injured last month in a vehicle crash.

Burke has never put price tags on her hand-made jewelry; she accepts donations and turns all the proceeds from her donation box over to the recipient. This Saturday, March 7, she will be at the Cullman County Republican breakfast, and then, around 9 a.m., will be at the Warehouse Discount Groceries along Alabama Highway 157 in Cullman with her Dixie Dog Designs banner, jewelry collection and donation box.

Burke contacted Clark’s family and got permission to hold the fundraiser on his behalf.

Burke told The Tribune, “It’s never been something that I’ve made money myself. It’s never been part of it. I consider it my ministry; that’s really what I think it is. You know, the Lord’s blessed me, and it’s just a way to give back to the community.”

If you are out and about Saturday and want to help Deputy Clark and his family, visit the Dixie Dog Designs table at Warehouse Discount Groceries at 5754 Highway 157 on Cullman’s north side.
