HANCEVILLE, Ala. – Olivia Burleson was named Wallace State Community College’s 2020 Homecoming Queen during the annual festivities on Monday night. She was crowned at halftime of the men’s basketball game vs. Shelton State.
Burleson, an elementary education major from Winfield, was voted on as the queen by her peers through online voting. Burleson is also a Wallace State Cheerleader. She was escorted by her uncle Josh Markham and was crowned by Emily Dia, last year’s Wallace State Homecoming Queen.
Meredith Putman, a nursing major from Warrior was first runner-up; Emma Wright, a general studies major from Blountsville was second runner-up; Haley Greatorex, a dance education major from Birmingham, was third runner-up; and Camryn Behel, an English education major from Killen, was fourth runner-up.
Remaining members of the 2020 Homecoming Court were Morgan Dingler, a general studies major from Cullman; Natalie Zuck, a pre-nursing major from Hartselle; Selena Wright, a criminal justice and forensic investigation major from Huntsville; Sydney Grace Newton, a pre-engineering from Bremen; Trystan Brown, an respiratory therapy major from Hokes Bluff; and Nicole Stephens, a welding technology major from Falkville.
