Albert Thurlow Bell, 82, of Double Springs entered into rest Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020 at Lakeland Hospital.
He was born May 24, 1937 in Double Springs, Alabama.
Visitation is Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020 from 6-9 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home, Double Springs. The service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020 at noon at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Bell will lie in state from 11 a.m.-noon. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Brother Buford Parker will officiate.
Albert is survived by his children Darlene (Stan) Thomas, Carolyn (Jackie) Baldy, Tim (Rose) Bell, Lynn (Hal) Morgan, Glenn Bell and Pamela McDonald; grandchildren David (Angi) Thomas, Derek (Amy) Baldy, Chad Bell, Adam Bell, Jerrid Bell, Shay Bell, Craig (Misty) Morgan, Justin (Crystal) Bell, Matthew (Sarah Brooke) Bell, James W. Bell, Ashley McDonald and Wyatt McDonald; great-grandchildren Leslie Rana Rood, Shelby Rood, Robert Rood, Seth Thomas, Allie Thomas, Ethan Bell, Carter Bell, Aubree Bell, Hunter Allred, Mackenzie Brooke Heatherly, Reagan Morgan, Adaleah Morgan, Kyle Skye Morgan, Auroa Bell, Lilliana Bell and Joseph William Bell; great-great-grandchildren Payslie Deetman, Scarlet Sells, Rubee Graham and Ezlyn Graham; and sisters-in-law EvaJo Bell, Dean Bell, Carolyn Bell Martin and Leonia Box.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 57 years, Flora Mae Hill Bell; his sons Darrell Wayne Bell and James Thurlow Bell; daughter-in-law Chris Orton Bell; great-granddaughter Breanna Eve Allred; parents James David Bell and Riddie Jane Harris Bell; grandparents Francis Bell and Luscinda Manasco Bell and Thomas Levi Calvin Harris and Lowduski Lovett Harris; brothers Will, Floyd, Marion, Calvin, Alvin, Edgar, Edward, Leo and Mac Bell; and sister Lena Bill Robertson.
