Professor and Mrs. R.E. Moore are building a beautiful new home in South Park.
Both the ladies of Saint John’s Church and Christ English Church will serve Thanksgiving dinners, this year.
Miss Mattie Carter was guest speaker, when twenty members of Coterie, met at the home of Mrs. J.C. Martin, on November 14th.
Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Fegrentz, of Ohio, are visiting relatives, at Longview, this week.
Three students of Good Hope Junior High made the honor roll this month. They are Lena Woodall, Edna Stewart and Hazel Freeman.
The County Board of Education has moved into its newly remodeled building, which is one of the finest in the state.
Mrs. T.A. Smith had charge of the P.T.A. program on Tuesday. A book week program was given and Mrs. M.H. Killingsworth and Mrs. Henry Meyer gave a report from the recent P.T.A. meeting.

The beloved preacher, Reverend B.E. Fulmer is pastor at Ebenezer this year. School opened on Monday. Mr. Chaney and Misses Winn and Speegle are the teachers.
Miss Clyde Crider has accepted a position as secretary in the office of Clarence Keller, register of equity in the Courthouse.
Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Gunn left on Monday for Tampa, Florida, where Mr. Gunn has been transferred.
Miss Mozelle Nunnelly is teaching at Walter this year. She lives at Welcome.
Reverend Hunt, of Holly Pond, was Saturday guest of Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Nunnelly.
C.T. Bailey, County Agent, is urging farmers to plant long staple cotton, for a better price at the selling place.
Mr. W.A. Nail, of Bolte, has a new pair of mules.
There is going to be a box supper, at Bolte, on Friday night, for the benefit of the school.
Jerry Shafer and Glenna Eubanks were married on Saturday night.
A shower was given for Mrs. John Brown, at her home, on Saturday afternoon.
Miss Melba Bradford, of Baldwin, was the Sunday afternoon visitor of Miss Christine Styles.
There will be jobs available for 1,800 young men in the United States Army.
Red Cross is now doing a membership drive.
The Dwight Fullers are building a new home.
The Hanceville Lutheran Church was organized in the fall of 1885.
Western Auto has opened a store in Cullman. The store is owned and operated by C.H. Grob, at First Avenue East.
Professor and Mrs. Joe Ray, of Hanceville, were in Cullman on Saturday. Mrs. William Lessman is critically ill, at her home on the Bremen Pike.
Colonel Thomas Millican, Ezra Williamson and Roy Ingle spent Monday in Scottsboro. Mrs. Conrad Howard and Miss Trischel Cordes spent Tuesday in Birmingham.
