CULLMAN, Ala. – Due to the threat of inclement weather later today, some closings have been announced. If you know of one we missed, email wendy@cullmantribune.com.
- Cullman City Schools– “Due to a change in weather conditions, all after school activities and extended day programs are canceled for Cullman City Schools for this afternoon.”
- Wallace State Community College– “Due to the threat of inclement weather this evening, Wallace State Community College will close today at 3 p.m. All evening classes and activities are canceled.”
- Cullman County Schools– Classes will dismiss at 1:30 p.m. due to the threat of inclement weather. All after-school activities have been canceled. The community meeting scheduled for 5 p.m. tonight will be rescheduled.

According to the National Weather Service, “Scattered embedded thunderstorms within numerous to widespread showers are expected later today into this evening. A few of these storms could be severe and will be capable of damaging winds along with hail and a few tornadoes. The threat for severe weather will be from late this afternoon through the late evening. In addition, locally heavy downpours in a short period of time could lead to a few instances of flash flooding.”
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 6 p.m.
