CULLMAN COUNTY, Ala. – A Baldwin man was arrested last week and charged with first-degree assault and first-degree kidnapping. The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) said Steven Ray Parker, 36, was arrested at a residence on County Road 405, where a search warrant was executed.
Parker also had warrants for fourth-degree theft of property (failure to appear) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is also charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance. He is being held on a $25,000 cash bond.
“We had a situation that led to us searching for Mr. Parker for a kidnapping and assault earlier in the week. Deputies and investigators quickly followed up on leads and obtained a search warrant for this address,” said Sheriff Matt Gentry.
Several more suspects, as well as methamphetamine, pills, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were allegedly found in the search of the residence.
“I am proud of the job the deputies and investigators have done in locating and arresting these suspects in such a quick and safe operation,” added Gentry.
Angel Marie Parker, 31, of Baldwin; Jonathan Kendrel Light, 37, of Dora; and Jason Matthew Morgan, 37, of Jones Chapel were each arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and hindering prosecution. Each is being held on a $5,300 cash bond at the Cullman County Detention Center.
