Memorial services for Edward Michael Welsh, 66, of Baileyton will be at 11 a.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020 with Kyle Welsh officiating; entombment will be at Montevallo National Cemetery at 2 p.m. Tuesday following the service.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Welsh passed away Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020 at his residence. He was born Aug. 12, 1953 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Edward Lawrence Welsh and Dorothy Mae Welsh.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and of Christian faith. Edward moved to Alabama in 1988 from central Florida and was an over-the-road truck driver for many years. He spent the last several years farming his own property in Cullman County. Farming was his passion.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years Wanda Orr Welsh; children Joseph (Terri) Welsh of Holly Pond, Tonya Welsh of Baileyton, Lindsay Welsh of Oxford, FL and Shannan (Justin) Slight of Pelham; mother Dorothy Mae Horton of Arab; siblings Wade (Sandi) Welsh of Texas, Terri (Roy) Bewley of Holly Pond and Shari Bare of Florida; brother-in-law Robert (Robin) Orr; father-in-law Jack Orr; and grandchildren Trish Welsh, Skyler Welsh, Zohie Ballenger, Trenton Welsh, Kadence Hoggle, Logan Welsh, Taylor Hoggle and Aaron Logan.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.
