Funeral services for Max Randall Brannan, 77, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020 at Moss Service with Randy Sellers officiating; burial will follow at Welti Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020.
Mr. Brannan passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019 at Cullman Regional surrounded by family.
He was a loving husband, dad and pawpaw. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany for two years. He received a degree as an electronic technician. He was a cattle farmer for many years and also grew cotton, soy beans and corn. He worked at Walmart Garden Center for 16 years before retiring. He loved and supported his Auburn Tigers.
He was preceded in death by his mother Hazel Moore Brannan; father Alpheus Rosco Brannan and step-mom Elizabeth Brannan.
Survivors include his wife Betty Gregory Brannan; daughters Tina (Michael) Horton and Joan Brannan; grandchildren Austin, Kaleb, Hunter and Lillian Horton; sisters Kathy (Doug) Burdette and Pat (David) Stricklin; nephew Jacob Stricklin; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers are Austin Horton, Kaleb Horton, Jimmy Gregory, Billy Gregory, Sam Gregory and Bobby Metz.
