If you’ve never been to Morning Blend, it is so much fun!”
Leah Bolin, Cullman Chamber of Commerce president

CULLMAN – Each month, the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes members and visitors to the Chamber building for an informal meeting called the Morning Blend to discuss the hottest topics in business. The group also shares tips, ideas and viewpoints in an open discussion forum. The last Morning Blend of 2015 was held on Wednesday, Dec. 16.

“If you’ve never been to Morning Blend, it is so much fun,” said Leah Bolin, Chamber president.  “After we introduce ourselves and the company we are with, we can start the conversation. It’s always a lot of fun!”

This month, the group was excited to hear that Panera Bread is coming to Cullman, along with a Ross Dress for Less store. The fact that many businesses are now offering curbside service to their customers came up in conversation as well. It was announced that the increasingly popular Uber service is coming to Birmingham, and several people in the group discussed their experiences with the company. Finally, the group had a healthy discussion about politics.

The conversation got a little heated at times, but was balanced with a good bit of laughter. All in all, it was a great meeting and lively discussion.

“This was so nice,” said Sue Webb, who was new to the group. “Thank you so much for having us; I really enjoyed it!”

The Chamber’s Morning Blend meetings are a wonderful way to bring citizens together for a casual get-together. They are a great opportunity for community members to be involved and have their voices heard.

Beginning in January 2016, the Morning Blend meetings will be held every third Wednesday at Karma's Coffee House, located next door to Rumor’s Deli at 103 First Ave. N.E., Ste. 140.
