CULLMAN, Ala. – For the first time, the Alabama Coastal Foundation (ACF) is hosting a free outreach event in Cullman at Goat Island Brewing. The ACF’s Connect to Your Coast event is an easy and fun way individuals can learn how we are all interconnected to Alabama’s coastal environment. On Friday, Dec. 6 people in the Cullman area are invited to drop by any time between 2-9 p.m. for some delicious beer and to learn how they can help improve and protect our precious coastal environment.

All proceeds from Connect to Your Coast events benefit ACF’s habitat restoration and environmental education programs. Some examples of our work include the Alabama Oyster Shell Recycling Program, Share the Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Program and a suite of education programs for grades 1-12. The ACF works to improve and protect Alabama’s coastal environment through cooperation, education and participation. This is your chance to show support for the Gulf Coast!

If you are 21 or older, you can pay $10 in advance to receive an ACF pint glass by visiting: www.joinACF.org/donate  Goat Island will donate $1 to ACF for each beer sold the evening of the event, so you can drink—responsibly—for a good cause!
