BATTLEGROUND, Ala. – An early morning, two-vehicle crash in the Battleground community claimed the life of a man from Corinth, Mississippi.
The wreck happened at 4:15 a.m. today, Monday, Nov. 25, according to Alabama State Troopers. It was in the 15000 block of Alabama Highway 157.
Denni Leyva Flores, 39, was killed when the 2004 Hyundai Sonata he was driving collided with the rear of a 2002 Freightliner tractor-trailer. Flores was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Freightliner was not injured. The crash occurred 6 miles west of West Point.
Nothing further is available as ALEA Troopers continue to investigate.
