CULLMAN – According to Cullman County Matt Gentry, "the courthouse has been cleared by the Cullman Police Department and Cullman County Sheriff's Office and there are no signs of bombs."
Gentry stated that a person called the CPD close to 9 a.m. Monday morning.
"The caller stated there were several bombs located in an around the courthouse," he said. "We have done a thorough search of the area and have sent out an all clear."
While nothing was detected, Sheriff Gentry said deputies will keep a vigilant eye on the courthouse.
A lot of speculation is spreading about the motive of the threat. Sheriff Gentry said, "this is an active and ongoing investigation. At this time we do not have any suspects."
