TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The wet weather held off long enough for Cold Springs to make it to Tuscaloosa Thursday for its 2A Sectional Meet and both the Eagles and Lady Eagles left with sectional titles. The Eagles finished 43 points ahead of Altamont while the Lady Eagles edged Altamont by just seven points. Both the boys and girls races were full of top 10 finishers for Cold Springs.
Reagan Parris, Brooke Crider, Allison White and Ava Akridge placed first, fourth, ninth and 10th on the girls side respectively while in the boys race, Ethan Edgeworth, Jonathan Collett, Will Grimmett, Aaron Spurger, Cole Akridge, Seth Walker and Jayden Allred came in first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and 10th to lead the Eagles to a win. Cold Springs will be chasing a state title when they compete at this year’s State Championship Meet in Moulton November 9th.
