CULLMAN, Ala. – While many stayed inside Saturday, about 900 people- employees of Alabama Cullman Yutaka Technologies (ACYT) and their families- gathered in a pavilion at the Cullman County Fairgrounds for the company’s annual picnic.

ACYT Vice President Brian Buckner shared, “It’s our annual company picnic, all our associates come, we give out prizes; this year we gave away a car. We get food and just have a good time and enjoy each other’s company! It was great, we had a good turnout, I think we had about 900 people with family members. As a company, we appreciate our associates.”

You heard Buckner right: a car was given away to an ACYT employee. The car was a 2013 Honda CR-V with 19,500 miles. The grand prize winner was Tech Specialist Ginger Edwards, who has worked at ACYT for seven years.

“Ecstatic!” Edwards said when asked how she felt about winning. “I’ve never won anything in my life, I’m super excited! It seems surreal (that I won), it feels like an out of body experience! I’m just excited!”
