JOPPA, Ala. – One person was killed in a structure fire in the Joppa community Thursday evening. Cullman County Coroner Jeremy L. Kilpatrick identified the victim as Wilford Collier, 79, of Joppa.
The fire destroyed a camper on a property in the 200 block of County Road 1809.
The incident occurred shortly before 5 p.m.
The Joppa Volunteer Fire Department responded to the blaze, along with personnel from the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office and Cullman EMS.
