Funeral services for Melba Green Stewart, 76, of Hanceville will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel; Tommy Graves officiating. Interment will be at Hopewell Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Stewart passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born on May 8, 1939 in Cullman County to Luther Jessie & Jessie Lee McDowell Green and is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Debbie Lindsey; two sisters, Susie Sims and Bobbie Duncan; and a brother, Earney Haynes.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandy Harper; six grandchildren: Nicholas, Kayleena, Christopher, Candice, Rachel and Joshua; eight great grandchildren: Hailey, Katelyn, Abigail, Alyssa, Atticus, Athena, Leo and Saul; and a sister, Sybil Hamm.
