Jane
Farley Happe was born July 5, 1930, in Lakeland, Florida. She went
home with Jesus Sept. 16, 2019 at the age of 89.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved Jesus,
her Bible and her family. She never took her WWJD (What Would Jesus Do)
bracelet off. She lived most of her life in Florida and was a very successful
realtor in the Tampa Bay area for over 30 years. In 1947, she became one of the
first underwater mermaid (swimmers) at Weeki Wachee Springs, Florida. She loved
and cared for all animals and many times; homeless ones would find their way to
her doorstep. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bridge and Bible studies.
She will continue to be loved and greatly missed.
Survivors include her daughter, Tanya (Clay) Shearer, of Cullman; son, Charles
Gerrit Farley of East Berlin, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Clay (Misty)
Shearer, Jr., Natalie (Mike) Huff, Charles Michael Farley, and David (Trista)
Farley; and four great-granddaughters, Naomi Farley, Zoey Clayre Shearer, Cora
Jane Huff, and Zailey Mae Shearer.
Her son, Benjamin Judd Farley, and her daughter-in-law, Linda Gerber Farley,
preceded her in death.
Her family would like to thank Comfort Care Hospice and the nursing staff at
Woodland Village for their care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of
Cullman (256-734-5632).
A memorial service is planned for a later date in Clearwater, Florida.
