Doris Lockhart, 85, of Jasper, Alabama entered into rest at her home Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019.
Doris was born Nov. 23, 1933 in Oakman, Alabama. She enjoyed playing bingo and watching WWE wrestling.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019 from noon-2 p.m. Services will be held at 2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville. Brother Todd Hunter will officiate.
Doris is survived by her son, Randy (Marlene) Barton; daughter, Peggy Barton; brothers, Sammy (Kathy) Matthews, Kenneth (Karen) Matthews, Millard Matthews, Dillard (Kris) Matthews, and Terral Gene Hadder; sisters, Rose Alloway, Sue White, and Shirley (Johnny Wayne) Blanton; she was Grandma to three grandchildren, Danny Wayne (Christina) Barton, Chad (Dana) Barton, and Michelle (Michael) Simmons; five great grandchildren, Amanda Barton, Trinity Barton, Trevor Barton, Tatum Barton, and Noah Simmons; daughter in law, Annete Barton; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Danny Barton; parents, Carl Hadder and Lola Comer Matthews; brother Paul Matthews; sisters, Willene Dotson, Linda Jones, and Ruth Sutherland; and sister in law, Becky Matthews.
