BRUSHY POND, Ala. – A Bremen man was arrested Sunday after Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) deputies allegedly found a baggie of methamphetamine after a traffic stop.

Kevin Larry Bailey, 42, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, attempting to elude and numerous traffic violations.

According to a media release from the CCSO, “Deputies observed an ATV driving recklessly on County Road 222 near Brushy Pond. CCSO deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop when the ATV attempted to elude deputies before the ATV became disabled.”

The release said deputies located drug paraphernalia while conducting a search of the ATV. Upon arrival at the Cullman County Detention Center, the back seat of the deputy’s vehicle in which Bailey was transported was searched, and the deputy allegedly located the methamphetamine.

“All of our deputies worked very hard this past Labor Day weekend, and these are just two arrests (see also the arrest of Jeffrey Wayne Miller) out of dozens that highlight how diligently and persistent we are at the sheriff’s office in arresting those who want to make Cullman County less safe,” said Sheriff Matt Gentry.
