Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Fowler and family visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fowler this weekend and attended the decoration at Concord.
Misses Ella Ward and Ruth Johnston called on Mrs. Jewel Dye on Wednesday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Jones and family were the Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. F.E. Cook.
Several of this community attended the singing at Hulaco on Sunday.
Miss Marjorie Jackson was the Sunday guest of Miss Jennie Miller.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Pesnell and Mr. and Mrs. Buren Talley attended the decoration at Etha on Sunday.
Everybody please remember the decoration and memorial services at Lystra on the third Sunday, May 19th. The McKensey Quartette from Gadsden and also the Little Boy Preacher will be there. Reverend McKensey, 12 years old, will preach at 2 o’clock on Sunday afternoon.

May 13th – Ernest P. Kroener, 27, to Edna Mae Peinhardt, 18.
Mrs. Emily C. Dial, 88, who died on May 10th on Cullman Route Two, was buried on May 12th, at 11 o’clock, at the Mount Zion Cemetery, with Reverend Wilson officiating and Drinkard in charge.
Surviving are one sister, Annie Brady; two sons, Joe Hunt and Dock; seven daughters, Mrs. Annie Thomas, Mrs. Kate Grey, Mrs. Mattie Philpot, Mrs. Carry Philpot, Mrs. Emma Darnell, Mrs. Ollie England and Mrs. Pearl Martin.
Last rites for Mrs. Ellen Clanton, who died earlier on May 8th as the result of an automobile accident in Christopher, Illinois, were held at Sardis Baptist Church on May 11th, with Fischer and Son in charge.
She is survived by three sons, Marion and Charles, of Birmingham and Harry, of Christopher, Illinois; three daughters, Mrs. Minnie McGee, of Clebourne, Illinois, Mrs. Ellen McKenzie, of Birmingham and Mrs. Mary Jones, of Christopher and a number of grandchildren.

Mrs. J.H. Caudell and James Kelly, Junior left on Saturday for a visit to Mr. and Mrs. Earl Caudell, at Louisville.
Mrs. B.D. Given, of Huntsville, spent several days of this week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M.A. Gray.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hamrick, of Birmingham, spent Sunday with Miss Beulah Hamrick.
C.H. Gray and Jack Morgan spent Thursday, in Atlanta, Georgia.
Miss Edith Edmondson, of Tuscaloosa and Mrs. Grady Elmore and children, of Jacksonville, spent the weekend with Professor and Mrs. J.R. Edmondson.
Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Dark, of Birmingham, spent Sunday with Mrs. Annie Gibbs.
Mr. and Mrs. E.K. Manning left Saturday for their home in Brooklyn, New York.
Misses Frances Lee, Owen Dunn, Beatrice Alexander, Nell Shelton, Evelyn Winn and Mrs. Lucille Rowell are spending the summer at their homes, after completing a year’s work on the faculty of the high school.
Winfred Chappell, of Birmingham, spent the weekend with relatives.
