Betty Ann Daw, 74, of Falkville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019 surrounded by family. She was born to the late Dan Howard Johnson and Antionette Sanfilippo Johnson May 5, 1945.

Despite her hectic schedule, family and friends were Betty’s passion and delight. She grew up surrounded by family which included a sister Stella Johnson Camp and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Betty married her high school sweetheart and had four children, Dominic, Antionette, Kathelene and Robert Skinner. Betty later married Marvin Richard Daw where they moved to Vinemont to raise her children away from the city.

After her divorce from Herbert Ray Skinner, she raised her four children as a single mother. She was always a wonderful daughter, wife, mother and a friend to everyone she met. She lived life the way she wanted her family to live.

Christ is the most important relationship a person can have. Through the Lord Jesus Christ, the family will flourish. Betty planted seeds that her family followed. She always wanted her family to see the important things in life, cherish memories that will withstand the test of time. Her desire is for family to love Christ and each other the way Christ intended it.

Betty is survived by her second husband, four children, and seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren (number five is on the way); and a number of other loving relatives and close friends.

Betty requested a private service for immediate family only. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last days. For those who have known Betty in her fruitful journey with us, her wishes are to share with others. In lieu of flowers her request is for donations to the Cullman Regional Hospice in her honor.
