CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman County Animal Shelter Volunteer Donna Ruttkay shared Monday that the last Cullman Tribune Pet of the Week, Spencer, has been adopted. Here, she introduces us to a new canine friend:
Fudge Swirl is a serious eye catcher with her dramatic brindle coloration, often referred to as “tiger striping.” She’s a 1-year-old mixed breed whose color may indicate some Tennessee Treeing Brindle or Staffordshire/bulldog in her lineage. She’s a laid-back, low- to medium-energy pet who’s submissive to humans and great on her leash. She enjoys sun and fresh air in the yard and retreating for a little peace and quiet in the shade of the shelter’s walnut tree.
Fudge Swirl has the makings of a good companion, emotional support or walking/hiking dog.
Animal shelter staff and volunteers work with their dogs to make sure they are accustomed to being around people, walking on a leash and practicing good behavior. Several of the shelter’s dogs have even been “hired” to work as therapy and special needs service dogs.
Fudge Swirl’s adoption fee is $90 which includes: DHLPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccines, rabies vaccine, wormer, general exam at the vet, spaying, microchip, free 30-day health insurance policy issued by 24PetWatch (with valid email only) and a free bag of food from Cullman Pet Depot (you must pay sales tax).
Please consider adopting, to give a rescued pet a chance at a happy and healthy life.
