CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman County Animal Shelter volunteer Donna Ruttkay shares a bonus Cullman Tribune Pet of the Week:

Dandy is an 11-month-old bulldog mix. He’s a lively, medium- to high-energy canine companion who enjoys playing ball with his human. And when he’s done playing, according to Ruttkay, “His down time is right by your side.” Even though he’s energetic at play, shelter staff note that he minds his manners and is patient while waiting to go out.

Dandy has the makings of a wonderful hiking and companion dog.

Discount doggie!

Dandy has already been neutered, so his adoption fee is substantially reduced. Contact the shelter for more details and specific cost.

Animal shelter staff and volunteers work with their dogs to make sure they are accustomed to being around people, walking on a leash and practicing good behavior.  Several of the shelter’s dogs have even been “hired” to work as therapy and special needs service dogs.

Please consider adopting to give a rescued pet a chance at a happy and healthy life.

Contact the Cullman County Animal Shelter at 256-734-5448 or cullmancountyanimalshelter@gmail.com. Visit the shelter at 935 Convent Road NE.
