HANCEVILLE, Ala. – Hanceville Elementary School students Colton Hunter (left) and Kason Hitt (right) set up a lemonade stand in front of Hanceville City Hall Friday to raise money to pay lunch bills for students in need at their school.

Kason’s dad Kevin Hitt told The Tribune, “It was the boys’ idea to raise something before school starts back, to help the kids with past due lunches, and we’re supporting them with everything we got, to make it happen.”

Colton’s dad Cody Hunter added, “Just trying to get out in the community and kind of bring awareness to what’s going on with the lunches being past due and stuff.  These boys just wanted to help out.  We’re super proud of them.”
