CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman County Animal Shelter volunteer Donna Ruttkay shared some great news: all of the dogs taken to last week’s 2nd Fridays downtown celebration were adopted! Now, she shares a new canine friend with us as The Cullman Tribune Pet of the Week:
Miss Bea is a beagle/bulldog mix who’s a little over a year old. She’s a seriously laid-back, low-energy pet who enjoys a leisurely walk and is skilled on her leash. She enjoys getting outside and has taken to the shelter’s kiddie pool.
Miss Bea has the makings of a good therapy, emotional support or comfort dog.
Animal shelter staff and volunteers work with their dogs to make sure they are accustomed to being around people, walking on a leash and practicing good behavior. Several of the shelter’s dogs have even been “hired” to work as therapy and special needs service dogs.
Miss Bea’s adoption fee is $90 which includes: DHLPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccines, rabies vaccine, wormer, general exam at the vet, spaying, microchip, free 30-day health insurance policy issued by 24PetWatch (with valid email only) and a free bag of food from Cullman Pet Depot (you must pay sales tax).
Please consider adopting to give a rescued pet a chance at a happy and healthy life.
