Rachel Ann Lay, 76, of Haleyville entered into rest July 11, 2019 in Florence.
Rachel was born April 25, 1943 in Haleyville. Rachel was a member of the of Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed fishing, crafts, the beach and especially spending time with family. Her granddaughter Gracelyn called her me-me.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 1-3 p.m. at Nichols funeral home in Haleyville where services will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. Brother Ricky White will officiate. Burial will be at Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville.
She is survived by her sons, Ray Lay and his wife Janet; daughter, Tina Cavender; brothers, Doug Glaze, Tim Glaze, Terry Glaze, Lee Glaze and Gary (Vickie) Aaron; sisters, Vella Rogoscki and Beth Gray; sisters-in-law, Linda Glaze and Loretta Glaze; she was Maw Maw to 6 grandchildren, Toni Moore, Daisy (Toby) Clark, Ray (Nikki) Lay, Anjaleah (Jordan) Hubbert and Treasure (Shawn) Mayfield; and 17 great grandchildren, Kurt, Jayden, Kameron, Dawson, Tyler, Ivy, Bryant, Jaxxon, Chloe, Peighton, Riley, Jack, Oliver, Sean, Gracelyn, Makayla and Alex; and nieces and nephews, James Jividen, Trena Glaze, Deana Bills, Chance Williams, Lake Glaze and Anna Aaron.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elmos Lay; parents, Dan and Christine Aaron; father, Garvin Glaze; brother, Raymond Glaze; granddaughter, Misty Kois and nephew, Dougie Glaze.
