Funeral services for Francis Eugene Howell Veal, 88, of Baileyton are Sunday, June 30 at 2 p.m. at Cullman Funeral Home, Rev. Donnie Cason officiating, with interment in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation on Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cullman Funeral Home directing. Mr. Veal passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dover Howell Veal and Willie Mae Stewart Veal; sisters, Maxine Brannon, Sue Brannon, Carolyn Veal and Frances Jones and brothers, Chestley Veal, George Veal and Bobby Veal. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty Veal; son, Doug Veal; daughters, Debora Maxwell and Donna Smith; brothers, Kenneth Veal and David Veal; sisters, Linda Holmes and Melba Nelson; grandchildren, Jason Maxwell, Fran Maxwell Skinner, Shaina Smith Cruz, Randy Smith and DeeDee Smith; great grandchildren, Autumn Lee, Braven Ponder Skinner, Zoey Cruz and Braxton Cruz and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
