CULLMAN, Ala. – On Monday evening, the Cullman Police Department (CPD) and Cullman City Council honored one of the city’s police officers for his years of service, and officially promoted two others.
Officer Rodney Banister, who currently works in Animal Control, received his 15-year pin.
Assistant Chief Craig Montgomery said of Banister, “He is a wonderful employee, and he embraces the mayor’s mantra of customer service to the T. He is always going to do whatever is necessary.”
Two officers make sergeant
The CPD officially promoted Officers Justin Craft and Joey Duncan to the rank of sergeant. Duncan has served with the CPD since 2000, and is currently a traffic homicide investigator. Craft, a Marine Corps veteran who served in Afghanistan, has been with the CPD since 2011.
Montgomery said of his new sergeants, “Both of these guys do a great job, and they’re very deserving of these promotions.”
