CULLMAN – Cullman County Parks and Recreation has recently moved their office from Sportsman Lake Park to the Cullman County Agriculture Center.
The new space is now easily accessible and has better parking.
The new offices have twice the storage space, which can be used for special event items.
Parks and Recreation director, Doug Davenport explained, “For about two and half years we've been trying to find a location that would better serve our community, and that would give us a little more space. We're trying to do this in the most frugal way.”
The much-needed offices were built by Parks and Recreation employees and county workers.
“We hope that we can better serve the people,” Doug Davenport stated, “Making it a safer location, more parking and easier place to find even if you’re not from Cullman. Plus it gives us a staff member at the Cullman County Ag Center during most business hours.”
The new office is located at 17465 US Highway 31 Cullman, AL 35058 and will be open 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Weekend hours vary.
