Betty Marie Williams, 77, of Addison, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.
Betty was born on July 21, 1941 in Arley, Alabama. Betty graduated from Meek High School in 1959 and was a lifelong member of Addison Church of God. She loved mowing grass and being outside. Betty was an avid Auburn sports fan. She loved spending time and talking with family and friends.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Addison Church of God, where services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. Pastor Rodney Ridgeway and Bishop Samuel Parker will officiate. Burial will follow in Arley Congregational Church Cemetery.
Betty is survived by her son, Greg Williams and wife Glynnes; daughters, Polly Doss and husband Barry, Rena Parris and husband Eddie; brothers, Wayne (Joan) Cleghorn, Bobby Cleghorn, Kenneth Cleghorn; sisters, Alice (Steve) Woolwine, and Gayle Roland. She was “Maw Maw Betty” to 8 grandchildren, Dana Walker, Noel Williams, Jeremy (Rachel) Doss, Brandon (Brittany) Green, Shae (B.J.) Hallman, Nathan (Haley) Williams, Kendall Parris, Kayla (Levi) Brown and 12 great grandchildren, Marlee, Cooper, Watsen, Kylie, Clay, Jason, Leah, Cameron, Connor, Krymson, Karson, and Paeleigh. Special lifelong friends Glenda and Jerry Brannon, Shirley Payne, and Merle Cobb.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Williams; parents, Garland and Ruby Cleghorn; brothers, Neal Cleghorn, Leon Cleghorn, and Jimbo Cleghorn.
