CULLMAN, Ala. – There’s always the same question when the school year comes to an end: What are the kids going to do over the summer?  For ideas, visit the second annual Kids’ Summer Showcase Tuesday, May 7 at the Cullman Civic Center from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. There is no charge.

The Showcase brings multiple organizations together in one spot, giving parents and caregivers the opportunity to walk through and get information from each one, all in one trip.

One of the event organizers, Joey Orr, shared, “This is our second year offering this Summer Showcase. Last year was a great success! It was wonderful for organizations to be able to share what they have available to children in Cullman County. It is also a huge support to parents as they are able to pick up information about summer programming for their children in one location. We are excited to offer this service again this year and we hope many people will take advantage of the event.”

Booths will highlight available summer camps, Vacation Bible School programs from churches, outings, activities and many other events around the Cullman area.

Organizations participating include: Grace Chapel, Cullman Regional, Daystar Kids, TheraPlay Pediatric, Genesis Performing Arts, Courtney’s Dance Artistry, Cullman United Soccer Club, Cullman City Schools Summer Feeding Program, North Alabama Agriplex, The Link of Cullman County, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Vinemont First Baptist Church, Cullman City Head Start, McCluskey Millworks and Gifts, The Factory Dance Productions, Encore Rehabilitation, Cullman High School, Seventh Street Baptist Church, Flourish of Cullman, Vinemont First Baptist Church, Northbrook Baptist Church, Liberty National, and Cullman Parks, Recreation and Sports Tourism.
