CULLMAN, Ala. –  A Cullman man was arrested Wednesday after members of the Cullman Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) and investigators and deputies with the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) allegedly found approximately 1 pound of methamphetamine and 3 grams of heroin during a search of his residence. Also allegedly recovered were drug paraphernalia and a large amount of counterfeit U.S. currency.

Jamey Eugene Arwood, 45, was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The arrest and charges came after authorities conducted a search of Arwood’s home in the city of Cullman.

“I continue to be impressed with our deputies making proactive drug arrests. If someone is a drug dealer in Cullman County, we will find them and arrest them,” said Sheriff Matt Gentry. “I would like to thank all the CNET agents, CCSO investigators and deputies who worked on this case.  Anytime you conduct a search warrant it’s dangerous and I’m glad it was conducted effectively and safely.”

Arwood has made bond.
